PIT
You are at the bottom of the pit,
Scavenging and scraping the leftovers thrown by people from above,
As their judgemental eyes look down upon you,
You contemplate and wish to be engulfed within the darkness of the pit,
A wretched feeling of helplessness dawns upon your soul,
Your mind is blocked and emotions confused,
Disheartened and broken you start building a ladder from your shattered dreams,
Under the pressure of the prying eyes of the people who once proudly called you their friend,
Sometimes things appear brighter in darkness,
A valuable lesson you learned in the abyss of the pit,
Even in the darkness of the pit, there is a gleaming light spreading from your heart,
A light of hope, determination, and self-confidence,
You will come out of this pit soon through your dedication and efforts,
Closing the pit would be your first mission to ensure you never visit it again,
And to ensure you are never looked down upon anymore.
